It's In Every One Of Us

Originally recorded as part of the soundtrack to 'Time, the musical'

Words and music by David Pomeranz

Performed by Freddie and Cliff Richard at a special gala performance of Time on 14th April 1988 (they did this, "Born To Rock'n'Roll" and "In My Defence"). It was Freddie's only ever solo live appearance and also his last ever live appearance (the two with Montserrat Caballe were both mimed).
It's in every one of us to be wise
Find your heart, open up both your eyes
We can all know everything without ever knowing why
It's in every one of us
By and by

It's in every one of us to be wise
Find your heart, open up both your eyes
We can all know everything without ever knowing why
It's in every one of us
By and by

It's in every one of us
I just remembered
It's like I've been sleeping for years
I'm not awake as I can be
But my seeing's better
I can see through the tears

I've been realising that
I bought this ticket
And watching only half the show
But there is scenery and lights
And a cast of thousands
Who all know what I know
And it's good
That it's so

It's in every one of us to be wise
Find your heart, open up both your eyes
We can all know everything without ever knowing why
It's in every one of us
By and by

It's in every one of us
